Multiplayer Mayhem Comes Home: TowerFall Ascension Available Now on OUYA

Instant Classic Couch Multiplayer Game Returns to OUYA with a Windfall of Updates

SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Aug. 28, 2014 - The prodigal son returns … with a vengeance. TowerFall Ascension, the update-rich expansion to Matt Thorson’s iconic OUYA launch title TowerFall, is now available on the console’s storefront. With a multitude of new maps, a host of new characters, special arrows that deliver delightful new ways to die, and an all new quest mode, TowerFall Ascension adds a new level of depth to the frantic couch combat fans have come to love. OUYA TowerFallers who already have the original title can snag the sequel for free. For the uninitiated, the game is available for $14.99.

Screenshots and assets for the game here:

With TowerFall Ascension, Thorson has built additional depth into the game while meticulously maintaining its highly praised balance, ensuring an equitable and engaging gameplay experience for all combatants. On top of the fifty new arenas, a completely new 1-2 player Quest Mode, and four new archers, the expansion provides a number of quirky and completely game-changing features. Ambitious archers can try pulling off melee stomp-kills after enabling Ghosts, which allows dead players to rise again as monochrome phantasms whose very touch spells death. Crank up the chaos by letting everyone start with Laser Arrows that rebound and ricochet at lightning speed, or bring intimacy to your combat by removing arrows altogether - the opportunities are virtually endless.

08/27/2014 - Super Rad Raygun to appear at Boston Festival of Indie Games

New York City, NY - August 27, 2014 - It is the year 198X. Big hair is hot, and the war with the Soviets is colder than a refreshing glass of New Coke.

RAD RAYGUN must travel the world fighting communist robots, and save the 1980′s by shooting his way through the decade in a totally fresh, expanded version of the original Xbox Live Indie game, Rad Raygun.

SUPER RAD RAYGUN pits Rad against a whole new wave of deadly enemies and locations – from the Communist strongholds of the Far East to strategically insignificant islands off the South American coast. But chill out, because Rad has gnarly new weapons, upgrades, and a revamped gameplay engine to help him out. Ultra sharp 144p resolution graphics and 4 unique shades of green bring Super Rad Raygun to life, as only 80s mobile technology can.

After the success of Rad Raygun on Xbox Live Indies, Chris Bryant and Chris Hernandez of TRU FUN Entertainment were approached by independent publishing label Midnight City to produce "Rad Raygun on steroids" or SUPER RAD RAYGUN.

Currently in the Alpha phase of development, SUPER RAD RAYGUN will be showcased and playable at the Boston Festival of Indie Games at the MIT Johnson Athletic Center on September 13th from 10AM to 9PM.  Badges to the event can be purchased on their website, bostonfig.com.

SUPER RAD RAYGUN is scheduled to be released on Steam and Xbox 360 Live Arcade later this year.
