10:19 pm pdt
Germany, October 10th, 2014
Official launch of 'UFO Online: Fight for Earth' on Steam
Funatics Software announces the official launch of strategy
MMOG „UFO Online: Fight for Earth“ and the premiere on Steam. Following an extended beta phase the balancing and
matchmaking have been thoroughly reworked.
They said they came in peace... but since the aliens have
landed, earth is descending into chaos. The Scum are destroying whole landscapes, stripping our planet of resources and enslaving
mankind. In the meantime three opposed human factions are using the chaos to continue their own struggle for global dominance.
In “UFO Online” players lead a resistance group to change the planet’s fate by building their underground
base, recruiting experts for their strike force and fighting aliens and humans alike to conquer important territories for
their faction. With that “UFO Online” follows the footsteps of classics like “UFO” and “XCOM”
but transfers the known gameplay mixture of 3D turn-based strategy and base building into a dynamic online world.
• Turn-based combat against computer-controlled enemies (PvE) as well as real
• Craft and enhance the
best weapons and armor you've ever seen.
and develop your own hidden military base.
Fight for world domination with your faction on a dynamic world map.
Thomas Friedmann, CEO of developer Funatics Software: "We are happy to announce the premiere of 'UFO Online'
on Steam that marks the end of the Open Beta test. After listening to community feedback we completely reworked the balancing
and are looking forward to meeting players online!"
The Steam version of „UFO Online“ is identical with other versions of
the game but features exclusive starter packages that cater to new players and veterans alike.

The OnLive Game Service enables premium-quality gaming via the cloud on nearly any Mac or

Network Hospitals will receive their donations, enabling them to support their local hospital or a hospital that has made
a difference in the life of a child close to their hearts.
Extra Life was created by Jeromy ‘Doc’
Adams, a director at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, in 2008 to honor his friend Victoria Enmon, a 15-year-old
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals patient who played video games during her battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
Since then, tens-of-thousands of Extra Life participants have raised more than $8 million to benefit 170 Children’s
Miracle Network Hospitals across North America, mostly by playing video and tabletop games. Sixty-two kids every minute
are treated at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. Many of these
kids are facing life-threatening diseases like cancer, cystic fibrosis and injuries from accidents.

Steam Date Announced
for METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES
KONAMI announces December 18th release for Steam version of Hideo Kojima’s open world prequel
Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has announced
it will release the PC version of METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES via Steam on December 18th,
2014. The company also confirmed it will be 4K compatible and will feature an increase in the number of simultaneous light
sources, the number of models that can be displayed on-screen and increased shadow resolution.
SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES takes place in 1975 and sets in motion a series of events that culminate in the stunning plotlines
of METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN. GROUND ZEROES centers on Big Boss - legendary hero
and mercenary - as he infiltrates a sprawling secret prison base called ‘Camp Omega’ in Cuba on a rescue mission.
He soon finds himself alone behind enemy lines with a truly non-linear mission that showcases key advances to the series made
possible by its use of Kojima Productions’ FOX Engine.
GROUND ZEROES is centered on a large
open environment, with missions where time of day and weather have a dynamic effect on the game and its content. The game
offers a total freedom of movement within its missions, with users choosing how they engage guards, the route they pick, and
who they rescue. As such, it offers incredible replay value and encourages the player to revisit its content in order to find
more of its many secrets. Furthermore, the game features an online global ranking system where players can compete in unique
in-game and mission challenges and achievements to see how they compare against others around the world.
