03/26/2015 - Faction Creation Tool added to Galactic Civilizations III Beta
Design the Race of Your Dreams in Galactic Civilizations III Beta

Custom factions, planetary invasion, absurdly large map sizes and more flesh out Stardock’s space-based 4X strategy game

Plymouth, MI – March 26, 2015 – Today marks the launch of Galactic Civilizations III Beta 5, adding much-requested features to Stardock’s epic sci-fi 4X. Custom faction creation allows players to choose from dozens of abilities, technology focuses, and starship styles. The Thalan Contingency and Iconian Refuge have joined the struggle for galactic dominance, bringing the roster of pre-made races up to full strength at eight factions. The new planetary invasion system puts tactics from orbital bombardment to tectonic destabilization in players’ hands. Many more features, from a new 3D diplomacy overview to the largest Excessive and Insane map sizes (you’ve been warned), are also available with today’s Beta 5 update.

Galactic Civilizations III is the next installment in one of the highest-rated strategy series of all time, created by the original developers at Stardock. Players expand their space empires across galaxies that range up to enormous maps only possible thanks to Galactic Civilizations III's 64-bit engine. Unique tech trees for each of the game's eight races and multiple victory conditions give a huge number of ways to play – not even counting custom races, ships, maps, and franchise-first online multiplayer.

Galactic Civilizations III Beta 5 carries through on Stardock’s promise to let players enjoy the game in whatever manner they see fit. New Game Pacing and Research Rate sliders can alter the progression of a game, minor factions offer new opportunities for friendship or conquest, Trade Resources are valuable in their own right as well as excellent diplomatic trade chips, and support for modding has been dramatically extended.

Galactic Civilizations III Beta 5 is available now via Steam Early Access. The full game is scheduled to release in May 2015. To learn more, please visit
http://www.galciv3.com or view the development team's weekly livestream, Fridays at 3pm Eastern, at http://www.twitch.tv/stardock.

First 4 Figures Press Release: NiGHTS into Dreams Statue

March 24th 2015 - NiGHTS into Dreams

Hello from First 4 Figures!

Ever since we launched the SEGA All-Stars collection in 2013, SEGA fans have had one question that they have been asking us over and over - "when will you make a NiGHTS statue?". So today we're very pleased to finally unveil the mischievous Nightmaren of SEGA Saturn fame as our latest addition.

NiGHTS is best recognised perched in front of a glowing crescent moon, so that's the image we decided to capture for our statue. The base has a starry sky pattern, and NiGHTS is hovering above with a moon seamlessly attached behind to create the full scene. Together the statue comes to 12.5" tall, and is made from high-quality polystone.

This is the Regular Edition, featuring everything mentioned above. It can be preordered
here for $209.99, and is limited to 1,000 units.

The Exclusive Edition, with ambient lighting inside the moon, can be ordered
here for $234.99. It is limited to 500 units.

Both editions of NiGHTS are set to be released in Q3 of 2015.

Be sure to follow our
Facebook page, where we post regular updates and offer several sneak peeks and competitions on a regular basis. And for more information, be sure to check our website or send us an email.
