Developer Roland Studios Puts a Surreal Sci-Fi Twist to a Classic Genre For PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
Wake up to a Nightmarish World in Daydreamer: Awakened Edition
Calif. - March 17, 2016 - Awaken into a nightmare filled with malicious aliens, grotesque mutants, emotionless
robots, and giant bugs in Daydreamer: Awakened Edition, coming soonfor PlayStation®4 and Xbox One systems. The
side-scrolling platformer/shoot-em-up game was originally released on the PC, but the new Awakened Edition includes
major gameplay updates and numerous refinements for those brave enough to walk the perilous path of the daydreamer. This uniquely
outlandish arcade game will be available digitally on the PlayStation Store and Xbox store in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
It will retail in the United States for $9.99, and the prices for the other regions will be revealed at a later date.
Daydreamer: Awakened Edition is the story of the last human who rouses from an eternal sleep to an unfamiliar Earth,
since Aliens took over the planet thousands of years ago. The nameless protagonist was kept in a stasis chamber as a twisted
relic to memorialize their victory. However, the mysterious Immortal Gate Keeper liberates her and sets her on a dangerous
expedition to the Earth's core. Be warned though-the aliens will do whatever it takes to get their trophy back, and the Earth
is filled with frightening creatures that hunger for human flesh.
Daydreamer: Awakened Edition features:
- Twitchy Retro Gameplay -
Those who live for intense side-scrolling, platforming, and shooting action will feel right at home, because players will
shoot, whip, shield, jump, and warp their way to the Earth's core. The design choices in the game harken back to gaming's
- A Varied Combat System
- With a dearth of different weapons and abilities at the daydreamer's disposal, she will eradicate aliens with energy,
homing, ray, helix, and flamethrower blasters, and melee mutants with her whips. She also has the abilities to shield against
damage, warp to hard-to-reach areas, slow down time, and more. But they don't come cheap-players must hunt for Psymatter in
order to buy the weapons and items that will aid her along her hazardous journey.
- Powerful Pets - Psymatter also can be used to purchase/sustain a loyal pet companion to stay by
your side to the death (or until you run out of Psymatter). From fuzzy turtles to vicious weasels, pets will offer invaluable
support in varied forms to the daydreamer.
- Frightening Bosses - If normal aliens, mutants, robots, and bugs aren't bad enough, the bosses of
Daydreamer: Awakened Edition are truly terrifying to behold. The disturbing Mr. Smiles, the repulsive Grimeboy, and
ferocious, but still kind of cute, Rabies Rabbit are just some of the creepy boss monsters brought to life in the game.
- Numerous Improvements - Since this is the Awakened Edition,
that means there are a multitude of improvements and additions to the original release. Besides gameplay tweaks and balancing,
there are now more difficulties, enhanced controls, improved combat, a ranked mode/leaderboard for the competitive, world
map function, a brand new ending, and much more.

Studios. Inspired by the 8-bit era of classic arcade-style games, Womack incorporated their timeless appeal with his creatively
twisted vision of Earth in this upcoming digital console title.

digitally on the PlayStation Store on May 31 and Xbox Store on June 3. The game will be priced at $9.99 in the United States,

0314/2016 - Battlezone's VR Campaign Revealed
8:08 pm pdt
Rebellion promises dynamic content
and impressive longevity
BATTLEZONE'S VR CAMPAIGN REVEALED
UK - March 14th 2016 - Independent developer and publisher Rebellion has lifted the lid on the explosive tank-busting
campaign included in its upcoming Battlezone reboot for PlayStation VR.
Watch the new campaign gameplay trailer >>Download new screenshots >>No two campaigns will play the same
Delivering a dynamic campaign that blends procedural and randomised content, no two players will experience the same
playthrough - offering a substantial campaign experience with near unlimited replayability.
Whenever a player starts
a new campaign, the game’s “Hex” campaign map is re-generated procedurally, and dozens of environments,
levels and mission types are blended together in new combinations for a completely different experience each time. Then it’s
up to the players to forge their own path to the game’s epic finale.
A first look at the new cockpit
Battlezone’s latest campaign trailer also showcases the game’s impressive
revamped VR cockpit, brand new enemies and diverse environments including a new night-time arena, glowing industrial environments,
windswept ice wastes, and a heavily updated version of the “neon” level made famous in the game’s original teaser.
Rebellion CEO and Creative Director Jason Kingsley doesn’t
shy away from what the independent studio wants to offer with its PlayStation VR launch title:
"I think VR
has an unfair reputation for just offering cool bitesize experiences, but we want to come out firing and deliver the kind
of substantial content early adopters are crying out for.
"Obviously we're hoping that Battlezone will
be one of the first PlayStation VR games players buy, but we're also designing it to be the one they return to time and time
again... once VR has taken over the world of course!"
Founded in 1992, Rebellion®
is one of Europe’s leading independent game developers and comic book publishers. The studio’s flagship Sniper
Elite games series leads the way for authentic stealth and sniping gameplay with more than 10 million units sold worldwide.
Whether it’s the breathtaking intensity of Sniper Elite 3, the face-hugging terror of Aliens vs. Predator or the
grindhouse frenzy of Zombie Army Trilogy, the Oxford-based studio is known for creating stand-out games that thrill players.
