Just because the exhibit hall closes at 7pm daily (and 5pm on Sunday)
means the fun has to stop. For many Comic Con attendees, the fun only kicks up another notch come nightfall. With that said,
here's a list in no particular order of some of the many nighttime events happening over the course of the Con.
The 9th annual Nerdioke (karioke with a pop culture theme) will
kick off Comic Con on Wednesday July 17th at 9pm at Sign of the Whale (672 Fifth Ave.). Tickets and information can be found

Also happening on Wednesday, Marvel Comics Trivia Night will begin
at 7pm at American Junkie (628 Fifth Ave.) Tickets and information can be found here [Link]
Not to be outdone, Gabe Eltaeb's 6th Annual Comic Kickoff Fundraiser
begins at 9pm on Wednesday at Basic, located at 410, 10th Ave right across the street from the convention center. Proceeds
go to the Hero Initiative. Come enjoy food, drinks, prizes and bid on original artwork.
Comedian Doug Benson will be recording a live edition of his podcast
Doug Loves Movies at the American Comedy Company (818B 6th Ave.) on Wednesday night at 8pm. Join Doug and his surprise guests
as he kicks off Comic Con. This is a 21 and over event. Tickets and info here [Link]
If The Oasis is calling you, prepare yourself for Ready Party One
hosted by Fluxx Nightclub (500 4th Ave.) on Wednesday night at 8pm. Dance the night away and maybe even win a few goodies.
Special guests will be sprinkled througout the night. General admission tickets are still available. This is a 21 and over

The 6th annual Her Universe Fashion Show will take place on Thursday,
July 18th at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, just two hotels down from the convention center. Doors open at 5:15pm so get there
early as this is a first come/first served event.
The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF) will be hosting their annual
kickoff to Comic Con party on Thursday, July 18th at the Westgate Hotel (1055 2nd Ave.) This year's theme is 'British Invasion'
and a $20 entrance fee will grant you access to food, a cash bar, and the chance to rub shoulders with some of the top

If you're a fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger, the fan group The Arnold
Fans will be hosting a fan meetup and trivia contest on Thursday the 18th at 3:30pm. This is being held at the Hilton Bayfront
Hotel in the Pool Lounge and if you show up in cosplay, they have a sweet poster for you. ($10 for non-cosplayers until supply

Fans of Farscape won't want to miss the 20th Anniversary VIP Party
being held at Fluxx Nightclub (500 4th Ave.) on Friday the 19th starting at 4pm. This is a 21 and over event that'll feature

Music lovers are in for a treat as the San Diego Symphony Orchestra
has announced two specialty themed concerts during Comic Con at the Copley Symphony Hall (750 B Street). First, Friday the
19th will feature the world premiere performance of Galaxy Quest in Concert, to be conducted by David Newman. There will be
a Galaxy Quest costume contest prior to the show with the winner walking away with some sweet prizes. Tickets: [Link]
And on Saturday night, David Newman will conduct Back to the Future
in Concert with a special appearnce by original score composer Alan Silvestri. Tickets: [Link]
Finally, if you want to close out San Diego Comic Con but perhaps
you're not leaving the city until the next day, there a few late events you might be interested in:
Comic Con Geek Trivia will be taking place on Sunday the 21st at The
Rail, located at 3796 Fifth Ave. starting at 6pm. Come let your geek flag fly and earn those bragging rights! Tickets and

If you need another Con so soon, there's always Pacey-Con being held
