The LEGO Mini Figure collection has quicky become one of the hottest collectible items on the toy market. The first two waves caused a frenzy amongst LEGO fans and toy collectors alike. You were lucky if you actually saw these figures on the shelves. In most locations they did not last for more than a couple of hours.

Each figure comes randomly packed in a mystery bag. The cost is $3 each. There are 16 figures in each assortment. "Cheat sheets" and cell phone apps have been created to help collectors discover which figures were inside the mystery bags. The first two waves of figures quickly sold out. Now a complete wave can fetch an average price of $85 to $100 on ebay.

Imagine our surprise when one of our readers sent us these photos showing the current wave of LEGO Figures on clearance at his local Target. These figures were found at the Target store in Colonie, NY. Although the discount was only a dollar off the regular parice, this is still quite an impressive score. This is a truly rare find on one of the hottest collectibles on the market. Despite his amazing luck our reader claimed he only purchased 3 of the highly sought after toys. However we doubt the rest of the stock remained on the shelves long after these photos were taken.

It is worth noting that the Target store in Colonie, NY is currently under renovation. This may be the reason for the unusual clearance price. The store might be dumping merchandise simply to clear space for new construction. This leads us to believe this finding may have been an isolated and incredibly lucky find. However there have been reports across the country of strange discounts at various Target stores. Like the tale of one Star Wars collector who found the $100 "Big" AT-AT Walker for a mere $12.

Keep your eyes open if your local Target is curretly under reconstruction. You never know what you might find. Good luck and happy hunting!
