To celebrate fifty years of James Bond movies, MGM is releasing a massive 22 film collection on Blu-ray and DVD. Every 007 film is included in this amazing bundle, and 9 of these films are appearing on Blu-ray for the very first time.

To commemorate this historic occasion, MGM sponsored a booth at Comic-Con 2012 dedicated to presenting actual screen used props and vehicles from the history the Bond franchise. Over the course of the show, a different vehicle was unveiled each day.

Thursday featured the Q Jet Boat from The World Is Not Enough. This is the actual boat piloted by Pierce Brosnan as James Bond, as shown in the opening sequence of the film.

On Friday, MGM displayed another vehicle from The World is Not Enough. Devout Bond fans will surely remember the fan powered Ground Parahawk.

Saturday brought out the big guns (literally) with the green Jaguar XKR from Die Another Day. This vehicle features a mounted machine gun and front launching missiles. It was driven by Rick Yune’s character, Zao, during the climactic chase sequence.

Sunday brought about a highlight for me. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage (series 2) has always been a personal favorite of mine since the very first time I saw The Living Daylights in 1987. Now here it is, mere feet from me! The fanboy in me could barely contain himself. It even had the snow spike tires deployed! Oh how I envied Timothy Dalton for being able to drive such a sleek vehicle.

The boxset is due for release on September 25, 2012 with an MSRP of $140 (DVD) and $180 (Blu-ray). Amazon customers can get an exclusive hardcover art book covering 50 years of classic James Bond Movie Posters. [Link]
