And unlike most projectors of this type, this is a laser pico projector and not DLP. The images will not blur or distort if you move the projector. Colors are bright and vibrant and image quality is superb. You can use this projector not only with movies but also with certain games as well. (Games must have a TV out feature.) Best Retro Gaming Product:

Hyperkin-SupaBoy.jpg

Once again Hyperkin takes the top prize with their new SupaBoy, a portable gaming system that plays actual Super Nintendo cartridges. This amazing little device has two controller ports for use with classic SNES controllers. There is also a TV out feature which allows this portable to be used like a console on any standard TV. The SupaBoy is set to release in August. We'll bring you more on this device in the coming months.

Best Gaming Hardware:

E3_2011/WiiU.jpg

The Nintendo Wii U controller truly stole the show at the 2011 E3 Expo. Gamers waited in line for several hours just to play tech demos on the innovative new controller. We spent a lot of time testing the Wii U controller and we loved it! In fact we were extremely surprised to discover that its light and very comfortable to hold in your hands. Its a marvel of Nintendo engineering. This device has tremendous potential. We can't wait to see what unique and innovative ideas it brings to the gaming industry. And we're sure Nintendo's competitors are already working on their own tablet devices. Watch out Apple, Nintendo has your number! (Hands On Demo Video.)

Best of Show:

E3_2011/Sony-E3-2011.jpg

Picking a winner of the show this year was a very difficult task. There are many qualifications for winning best of show. Although gamers like to think only of best content, the E3 Expo is more than just a battle for the best software. The show also drives industry sales for the rest of the calendar year. Its also the biggest press event in the video game industry. There are three ways of looking at who really won E3. Which company has the best content? Which company got the most media attention? And which company is going to make the most revenue off the event?

Microsoft may earn the most revenue in 2011, due largely to their retail momentum and the continued success of Kinect. Plus having a $200 console SKU is really helping Xbox hardware sales. However, MS came up lacking in the hearts of most gamers, despite having some fantastic content at the show.

Nintendo clearly gained the most press attention with their amazing new Wii U Controller. This innovative device really stole the show. It also earned a lot of buzz in the non gaming press. Unfortunately getting the most press isn't enough to help carry the Wii, which has reached market saturation and has a very slim line up for the coming months. And although we believe the 3DS has the market momentum over the PS Vita, Nintendo has a tough battle ahead of them with the PS Vita's amazingly low $250 price point.

So the clear winner of the show for us was Sony. They won the show on pure gaming content. And that's what matters most to gamers everywhere. Sure there are other elements to the E3 Expo aside from great content, but Sony wowed everyone with stunning exclusives, amazing hardware and a strong focus on core gaming. Of course that doesn't mean Sony didn't have something for casual gamers and for families. In fact the company had a little something for everyone, which was yet another reason why they won the show. Sony also pulled an ace from up their sleeve with their amazing $499 3D gaming TV. Their abilities as a electronics manufacturer truly gave them an edge, and it gave them a hand the competition just could not match.

After a tough year and many hardships during the PS3 era Sony has definitely started the return to their former glory. This company is hungry and focused. This is when a company does their best work, when the chips are down, when everything is on the line. Sony knew the stakes were high going into E3. They came to the plate swinging for the fences. They also showed something I've rarely seen from this company, humility. That's a refreshing change, and it also proves that Sony has a new attitude, one that will carry them to great things in the near future.

Arcade_Tokens/DigThatBoxToken.jpg

Once again we stormed the floors of the E3 Expo giving away our beautiful custom made arcade tokens. These tokens are a celebration of video gaming. And they are made exclusively for the E3 Expo. We had a tremendously fun time handing out these coins to our fellow attendees. Our very own Dr Gonzo was on the scene giving out coins to everyone he met on the show floor. People always tell us this is a great way to promote our site, however we do it just because we like making people happy. We graciously thank you all for making this give away such a tremendous success!
